Salman Khan’s London Dreams Delayed Again UK Visa cancelled

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who was to leave for London to shoot for Sajid Nadiadwala’s next film, has been unable to cross the Indian shores. According to reports, Salman’s visa has been allegedly rejected and no explanation has been given for the same. The shooting of the film is already underway and Salman was to join the unit last week. However, his visa got cancelled and he has unable to fly to London.

While no one really knows what went wrong, insiders reveal that proceedings against Salman in hit and run case could be the main reason for it. Nowadays, securing a UK visa has become very difficult as the rules have become very stringent. Any court case against you, irrespective of your power or position, could go against securing a UK visa.

Though the court has framed the charges against the superstar, the case has been adjourned till August 19.

The star may apply for the visa again next week. However, with the charges against the actor, will he be able to get the visa? That is worth discussing.

Salman Khan is Rajkumar Santoshi's lucky mascot?

After "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani", director Rajkumar Santoshi has once again roped in superstar Salman Khan for a cameo in his forthcoming film "Phata Poster Nikhla Hero". He says it's a mere co-incidence and not because he considers the actor his lucky mascot.

"I don't think like that. It was more a need of the script," Santoshi said on Friday at a press meet of the film.

"In that film ('Ajab...'), Katrina (Kaif) was a big fan of Salman and an incident happens where Salman comes in front of her. In this film, Shahid has been shown as a big fan of film stars, particularly Salman, one of the most happening stars today.

"So it is just a co-incidence, not because of the lucky mascot thing," he added.

However, Santoshi says if "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" works, then he will definitely start calling Salman his lucky mascot.

"I wish it happens, success repeats itself. Then third time I will definitely go to Salman saying that you are lucky for me, come in my film and do a scene," he said.

"Phata Poster Nikhla Hero" stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead besides Ileana D'Cruz. The film hits theatres on August 23.

When Salman Khan lost his cool on being asked about Katrina Kaif

Mumbai: Salman Khan, who has had a rocking time at the Box Office in the recent past with blockbusters like ‘Wanted’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Dabangg 2’, has been embroiled in various controversies too.

A Mumbai sessions court had recently charged the actor with culpable homicide not amounting to murder in connection with the 2002 hit-and run case. The actor has also been in news over his alleged relationship with Romanian actress Iulia Vantur.

The actor, who is known for being hot-tempered, had maintained calm for many years while dealing with the paparazzi. However, a reporter got the worst of the ‘Dabangg’ star after asking him about his view on his ex ladylove Katrina Kaif’s vacation pictures with Ranbir Kapoor, a daily reported.

Apparently, the actor lost his cool and verbally abused the reporter.

Katrina was recently out on a vacation with her alleged beau Ranbir Kapoor. Images of the duo holidaying in Spain went viral, which reportedly irked Ranbir’s parents- Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.

Salman Khan Productions has two more films in the pipeline

Salman Khan Productions has got two more films in the pipeline after it puts theSurajPancholi-Aathiyastarrer on floors.Salman's production house will not only co-produce the remake of Punjabi blockbuster 'Jatt& Juliet' (2012) along withHimeshReshammiya's H R Musik, but it will produce a period film, which will be directedPuneetIssar (who was recently in news when his wife whacked a man at a suburban movie hall for not standing up for the National Anthem). According to a source, Salman will play the lead in Issar's film, while the remake will have a newcomer (not his new protegeSuraj).

Salman co-producing a film with Himesh comes as a surprise to many. Although, Himesh started off as a music composer in 1998 with Salman's Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and followed it up with Hello Brother (1999), Tere Naam (2003) and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya(2005), their alliance went on to hit a rough patch. And it was not until six years later that the two buried the hatchet for Bodyguard (2011).

Salman has recently got Himesh on board as a music composer for his upcoming film Kick. Produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film will release next year. Now, by joining hands with Himesh to co- produce a film, Salman definitely is taking the association to the next level.
According to sources, the highlight of Issar's film will be its elaborate action scenes. Issar had directed Salman in Garv: Pride and Honour, way back in 2004 and has been recently spotted on the sets of Bigg Boss 7. Both these films will go on floors next year.

Meanwhile, after Suraj was arrested (and later released on bail) for allegedly abetting the suicide of his actress girlfriend Jiah Khan, there were speculations that he might no longer be part of Salman's maiden production - the remake of Subhash Ghai's 1983 blockbuster, Hero. However, Salman put a lid on such rumours and confirmed to TOI (July 4, 2013) that he will launch Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab's son along with Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya. Tentatively titled The Hero, the first film of Salman's stable will go on floors in November.

Salim Khan Defends Salman Khan

MUMBAI: There isn’t any mincing of words when it comes to speaking about Salman Khan. Salim Khan, his father, has come to the superstar’s defense. He reveals that Salman Khan is an ordinary citizen. He isn’t above the law, but is being treated unfairly – prosecuted for being a celebrity, one might say.
With the hit-and-run case being subjudice, and the hearing to start soon, he pleads that only law should decide the actor’s fate.
Salim Khan has come out emotionally defending his son and says that its time to speak up because Salman Khan has been misrepresented in many ways. Recalling the details of the fateful night, says Salim, “Hit-and-run has the implication of being callous and a coward. You become an insensitive person and a coward if you want to run away in such a situation. The car skidded and hit the footpath at 2.30 in the night and thereby, people who were sleeping on it. It is unfortunate that apparently, it was the first day they were sleeping on the footpath as it was the month of September when the monsoons had just got over. The accident happened 100 meters away from the house and the car was stuck there and was removed only in the morning. Coincidentally, Salman had a police constable (Ravinder Patil) with him at that time given to him for his protection

“There was a crowd and there were stones being thrown at the car at which point, the police constable whose job it was to protect Salman, took him away from there and brought him home where his statements were recorded and then he was taken for the alcohol test. So where is the question of running away?
Salman Khan had been asked to give 20 lakhs when he got bail; his passport was confiscated and was asked to stay away from witnesses. Father Salim Khan says that this is proof that Salman has been tried as a normal citizen and not been given any concessions on account of his star status. Infact, no one has been asked to give so much money and only because it’s Salman Khan has the court been harsh, he further explains.
The trial is yet to begin. The verdict isn’t out yet. But Salman Khan seems to be on the path to mending relations and bettering friendships.
Has Salman Khan accepted the realities of life?
Here’s a glimpse of his numerous court appearances over the years…
